Profile of gene mutations responsible for M.tuberculosis resistance to antituberculosis drugs.

mycobacterium tuberculosis, multidrug-resistant tuberculosis, tuberculosis with extensive drug resistance, drug sensitivity testing, molecular methods

The implementation of rapid diagnostic tests and drug susceptibility testing requires a complex approach to these methods. The pattern of gene mutations responsible for resistance to first-line antituberculosis drugs was studied in patients with resistant tuberculosis undergoing treatment in the inpatient department of the Phthisiopneumology Institute. The obtained results were compared with similar data from previous studies. It was determined that in the last 5 years the resistance to RIF is predominantly determined by the rpoB S531L mutation (82.9%), for the resistance to INH the katG S315T1 mutation (94.6%) is responsible.
