With the alarming increase in the number of ablative interventions in the treatment of varicose disease, the application of saphenous preserving strategies is current in light of the growing evidence of the importance of the saphenous vein as a graft. We evaluated a clinical case series, which included 194 patients (209 lower limbs) with varicose veins, undergoing surgical interventions with saphenous vein preservation. The present article reflects the clinical-demographic characteristics of the patients and the results of the preoperative imaging investigations, together with the early clinical outcomes of the respective types of surgery.
