Abstract

Some results of the contemporary literature of last years regarding the utilization of new tech-nologies in the fi eld of human reproductive health are outlined in the paper. Undoubtedly, from the scientifi c point of view, the obtained results present a great success for better understanding of the fundamental bases of human life. However, the realization in practice of these technologies represents a great danger to future generations, manifested not only through the reproductive losses, but through the number growth of persons with disabilities as well. From the ethic-moral point of view, a special attention is paid to the status of embryo, identifi ed with a “potential personality” and its usage in sol-ving many problems connected with the artifi cial impregnation with the father’s or donor’s semen, extra corporal fecundation, substitute maternity, transportation of sexual cells and of embryo, cloning, use of Stem cells. The necessity of studying the ethic-moral, juridical, religious and medical aspects of new technologies and elaboration of legislative acts in this fi eld is underlined.
