Abstract

Data from the literature demonstrate that three-six months follow-up of patients with SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia revealthe persistence of abnormalities on thoracic CT scans/CXR along with a significant functional impairment on lung functiontests. Further studies for evaluation the long-term impact are warranted to assess and clarify the long-term consequences ofCOVID-19 and to guarantee an appropriate follow-up and treatment for patients recovering from SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia.
