Abstract

The data of 164 patients who died from retreatment due to the progression of tuberculosis in the hospitals weresubjected to comparative analysis in two periods: I period-120 (73.2%) in the years 2001-2003 (period of introductionof DOTS strategy) and II period - 44 (26.8%) patients who died in the years 2018-2020. It was found that in the secondperiod compared to period I more patients over the age of 55 died, HIV co-infection increased 6 times, therapeutic failure7 times. Were increased infiltrative and generalized forms of tuberculosis and decreased fibro-cavitary form. Over ½ ofthe deceased patients had resistant tuberculosis, including XDR (13.6%)
