Abstract

The article presents historical information from the founding of the institute on 01.10.1959, the Moldovan Institute for Scientific Research in Tuberculosis, to the current stage -the Institute of Physiopneumology “Chiril Draganiuc”, which has become a strategic medical institution with scientific-practical and curative-prophylactic activity, specializing in epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and medical-social recovery of patients with tuberculosis and non-specific lung diseases. It develops development strategies, coordinates management and evaluates the phthisiopneumology service, monitors and evaluates the implementation of the PNRT. The reform of the Phthisiopneumology Service and the Institute of Phthisiopneumology “Chiril Draganiuc” continues.
