The role of radiological examinations in the early detection of pulmonary tuberculosis in the Republic of Moldova

Abstract

Prophylactic radiological examinations of the population were performed on 102,553 people from groups at increased risk of tuberculosis from different administrative territories of the Republic of Moldova. The structure of the medico-social unfavorable factors in 18223 persons was evaluated. Out of 357 patients with evolutionary pulmonary tuberculosis, with prophylactic purpose, 176 patients were detected, most of them in 95 or 54.0% cases - within this project with the mobile digital radiodiagnostic complexes shipped to different administrative territories of the Republic of Moldova.
