Tuberculosis (TB) with multiple locations (TBML) is a severe form of TB, with a high mortality rate, particularly in the population with recognized risk factors, including HIV infection and immunodeficiencies of any origin. Aim was to analyze the data from existing sources of literature regarding TBML. The scientific publications from PubMed and Elsevier databases were studied. Review presented included data on the recent epidemiological situation, concepts of pathogenesis mechanisms, clinical picture, imaging features, laboratory test results and treatment principles of patients with TBML. The diagnosis of TBML relies on a multidirectional approach that requires clinical suspicion and confirmation by complex analyses, especially bacteriological and histological examinations.
