Abstract

Introduction. According to estimates, approximately 17.3 million deaths from cardiovascular diseases. Estimation of the impact of cardiovascular risk factors in the elderly patient taking into account the medico-social aspect. are registered annually. In the Republic of Moldova, in the general mortality structure of the population, cardiovascular diseases are in first place. Material and methods. 100 inhabitants of the Republic over 60 years of age (the maximum age being 94 years) were included in the study. Among them - 56 people (56%) constituted group I aged 60-69 years, 28 people (28%) - group II aged 70-79 years and 16 people (16%) - group III aged over 80 years. An individual evaluation sheet was completed for each person evaluated in the study. Results. The results of the complex and targeted study on this problem consist in the analysis of the situation regarding the morbidity and mortality due to cardiovascular diseases of the elderly population in the Republic of Moldova. identifying and estimating the impact of cardiovascular risk factors, as well as developing methods and strategies for their prevention and promotion in the context of primary and secondary care. Conclusions. Cardiovascular diseases are unanimously considered as one of the most important and pressing medical-social problems of the century. XXI, being responsible for 17.3 mln. deaths annually worldwide.
