Early detection of esophageal cancer is vital, as it provides a significant increase in the chances of survival. Establishing the diagnosis of esophageal cancer is achieved by using a variety of methods that provide important data about the presence and location of the tumor, the growth pattern and spread of the neoplasm, the morphological structure and staging of the cancer for the establishment of a treatment plan.
