Abstract

Flexible endoscopic laser surgery (FELS) was performed on sixty patients with early glottic carcinoma affecting the anterior commissure (AC) that were followed up 5 years after surgical intervention. FELS of glottic carcinoma affecting the AC demonstrates comparable oncological outcomes related to RT and transoral laser microsurgery and can be applied as an alternative to the traditional methods of treatment. Tumoral affection of the AC reduces oncological outcomes of FELS of early glottic carcinoma.
