Abstract

Thirty-nine patients with T2a glottic carcinoma who were followed up for 5 years after endoscopic surgical intervention met the study`s eligibility criteria. Nineteen patients from the examined cohort underwent only flexible endoscopic laser surgery (FELS), and 20 underwent postoperative radiotherapy (RT). FELS for T2 glottic carcinoma demonstrates comparable oncological results to RT and transoral laser microsurgery. The obtained results do not confirmthe supposed advantage of adjuvant RT in the endoscopic treatment of T2 glottic carcinoma.
