The impact of environmental factors on the health of children in the Republic of Moldova

Abstract

Research of 5900 children from 45 localities of Moldova with a different level of utilization of chemicals in agriculture, chemical and biological pollution of drinking warter was performed in the Scientifi c Department of Paediatrics of SRIMCHC during several years.There were determined genotoxic, teratogenic, immunotoxic effects of xenobiotics over young organisms, which conditioned the decrease of children health level. There were discribed 3 types of adaptive reactions of the organism on the infl uence of unfavorable ecological factors.
