Promovarea activităţilor de asigurare a securităţii apei potabile în Republica Moldova
Abstract
Report describes activities, necessary for implementation at local level to achieve water security, especially in rural areas in the frame of Food Security program, supported by European Commission.Main indicator: 100% of artesian wells and springs surveyed according to regular schedule have locally published information on water quality according to nationwide standard reflecting WHO guidelines and EU regulations. Centers for Preventive Medicine (CPM) are responsible for conducting potable water quality tests. Regional (32), city (2) and national (1) CPMs carry out the tests. These tests are undertaken on the public account for public wells and to order for payment on private wells. The results of the public well tests are not widely disseminated. The current method of information concerning water test results, as prepared by the Hygienists at each regional CPM, requires amendment but not fundamental reform, so that information clearly stating in an understandable manner the quality of water in a settlement, will be available suitable for pubic display.Downloads
