COLITA ULCEROASĂ LA COPII: VIZIUNI CONTEMPORANE DE MANAGEMENT DIAGNOSTIC ȘI TERAPEUTIC

Colita ulceroasă sau ulcerativă (CU) este o maladie inflamatorie cronică recidivantă a colonului, cu răspândire continuă a leziunilor din rect în direcție proximală și face parte din grupul de boli inflamatorii intestinale pediatrice (BIIP). Incidenț prin CU global este în creștere în populația pediatrică. Diagnosticul timpuriu al CU la copii necesită criterii certe și clare, iar tratamentul patogenetic este un process medicamentos etapizat, cu o abordare multidisciplinară și complexă. Tratamentul CU la copii este axat pe gestionarea simptomelor clinice, reducerea activității inflamatorii intestinale cu remedii medicamentoase, inclusiv cu agenți biologici eficienți, iar în cazul dezvoltării complicațiilor - rezolvare chirurgicală. Acest articol trece în revistă cele mai recente viziuni practice privind diagnosticul, managementul terapeutic și strategiile eficiente recomandate de consesns în procesul de gestiune emergentă a CU la copii.
