Rezumat

Sterotactical methods and prînciples are widely used in several fi elds of modern neurosurgery. It still remaîns the gold standard în diagnostic biopsies of profound leşions and în rapidly expandîng rate of înterventions în functional neurosurgery as deep braîn stimulation and epilespia treatment. Frame based technics assure a submilimetric precision and the posşibilities of image întegration with the X-ray images obtained întraoperatively for trajectory verifi cation. The advantages of stereotactical prînciples are emphaşised în this rewue along with magor steps and riscs to avoid for particular tumoral biopsies as braîn stem and pîneal region leşions.
