IMPACTUL TUBERCULOZEI LA ADOLESCENȚI ÎN CONTEXTUL ACTUAL AL SĂNĂTĂȚII PUBLICE

Tuberculoza (TB) rămâne una dintre principalele cauze de mortalitate și morbiditate la nivel mondial, afectând anual milioane de oameni. Luînd în considerație progresele în diagnosticare, tratament și prevenție, TB continuă să fie o provocare majoră în domeniul sănătății publice. Organizația Mondială a Sănătății (OMS) a estimat în rapoartele recente o creștere a incidenței cazurilor noi, în special în regiunile cu resurse limitate și în rândul populațiilor vulnerabile, inclusiv adolescenții. Pandemia de COVID-19 a accentuat această problemă, perturbând accesul la servicii medicale, întrerupând lanțurile de aprovizionare cu medicamente esențiale și provocând întârzieri în diagnostic și tratament pentru mulți pacienți cu TB.
